Black History Month: Day One

So, I’m not really good with consistency or commitment. However, this is my attempt to see something through to the very end… of the month. I love working with youth and poetry. To me, the marriage has infinite possibilities of development, growth, creativity, social awareness and consciousness, critical thinking, expression and activism. It’s Black History Month, it’s a celebration.

Every day I’ll upload a video or poem related to Black Lives, it’s historical struggle, stereotypes, portrayal, depiction, death, brutality, love, success, anger, beauty, spirituality, sexuality, oppression, goals, dreams, passions, etc…

Today’s spoken word performance is by Thomas Hill.

In peace,
